2016 was yet another a year of information explosion. A variety of eye-catching news, such as the “Choi Soon-sil scandal” in South Korea, Hilary Clinton’s “email controversy” during the US presidential election, and reports on “Russia’s interference in the election” released right before Donald Trump’s inauguration, has attracted attention around the world. And now, only a few weeks into 2017, 1.3 billion Chinese people have already been blanketed by several waves of heavy smog. Everywhere, people are shocked, angry, worried, and even panicked.
